PEER REVIEW POLICY

Peer Review Policy

The Aestheticians Journal follows a structured editorial and peer-review process designed to support scientific quality, relevance, ethical publication and independent assessment of manuscripts.

Editorial Workflow

 Submission → Editorial Screening → Double-Blind Peer Review → Revision → Editor's Decision → Copyediting → Author Proof → Publication

Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal.

The editorial assessment considers the relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope, appropriate article classification, scientific and clinical relevance, completeness of the submission, ethical requirements and overall suitability for peer review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation undergo double-blind peer review.

Under this process, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another.

Reviewers are selected according to relevant subject expertise and suitability for the manuscript.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to provide an objective, constructive assessment, evaluate the scientific and clinical relevance of the manuscript.

Revision

When revisions are requested, authors should address the editorial and reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.

Editorial Decision

Following peer review and revision, the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial authority makes the final publication decision.

Possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Editorial Independence

Peer-review recommendations inform editorial decisions but do not guarantee acceptance. The final editorial decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial authority.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted for review are treated as confidential. Reviewers and editorial personnel should not disclose or use unpublished manuscript information for personal, professional or commercial advantage.

Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers and editors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest and should not participate in the evaluation of manuscripts where such conflicts could compromise impartiality.
